Eligibility, Clinical Expectations, & Group Guidelines
We keep this group intentionally structured and clinically sound—so participants feel supported, sessions stay focused, and skills practice is safe and effective. To enroll and remain active in the program, all participants must meet the expectations below.

-
Ongoing individual therapy is required throughout the program. You may change therapists, but you may not go 4 consecutive weeks without an individual session. If you stop individual therapy, you are no longer eligible to remain in group. (If you’re not currently in therapy, referrals/coordination can be discussed.)

-
Clinical readiness is required. Participants must be emotionally stable enough for an outpatient, skills-based group and able to stay present and regulated during sessions. This group is not a higher level of care (PHP/IOP/inpatient).
-
Active participation is expected. This is a camera-on, highly interactive skills training environment with consistent attendance and between-session practice encouraged.

-
Confidentiality is mandatory. Group content—including participant identities—must remain private. Please do not discuss who is in group or share stories outside sessions.

-
Boundaries matter. Participants agree not to form private/off-platform relationships that cannot be discussed openly in group. Romantic/sexual partners may not be in the same group.

-
Substance-free sessions. Do not attend under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances. If impairment is suspected, you may be asked to leave and follow up regarding safety and participation.

-
Crisis boundaries. Group is not crisis care. Participants should not discuss suicidal or para-suicidal behaviors with other members outside sessions. If you are struggling, contact your individual therapist, call/text 988, or use emergency services.

-
This is skills training, not comprehensive DBT. The program does not automatically include individual DBT therapy, phone coaching, or a full DBT treatment team. Optional add-on services (individual therapy and phone coaching) may be available for purchase based on clinical fit and availability.
